The Instinct alternative for companies.
You text Instinct and it books, buys and checks you in. Running a company is different work: one brain the team shares, access for each person, and agents that ask before anything leaves.
Facts about Instinct checked on October 26, 2026, from public sources listed below.

What it does for a company
One company brain with a living file per client and the source of every fact.
Access for each person, the same in the app and in their own Claude or ChatGPT.
Agents with a job, a schedule and a dashboard, that ask you before anything leaves.
The short answerInstinct is built to take personal errands off one person's plate, by text. It doesn't try to be a company system: there is no shared knowledge, no roles and no agents per job. If that is what you need, Brainstack is built for it.
Side by side, need by need.
What one person needs from an agent, and what a company needs on top. What we say about Instinct comes from its maker and the press, and we mark what isn't public.

Who should pick which.
Stay with Instinct if
You want a personal assistant you just text.
Most of what you need is travel, bookings and errands.
You are planning with friends or family in a group chat.
Choose Brainstack if
The work is your company's: clients, invoices, inbox, sales, support.
Several people need answers from the same knowledge, each with their own access.
You want clear approval rules, a public price and a server in the EU.
Where Brainstack falls short: it doesn't run personal errands, there is no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 yet, and you bring your own Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini plan.
Three steps to your first agent.
1
Connect your tools
Gmail, Drive, Notion, your CRM. The brain builds a living file per client from them.
2
Invite your team
Give each person a role. That decides what they see, in the app and in their own AI.

A personal AI agent from Spear Street Technology in San Francisco. You reach it by text, WhatsApp or phone, and it uses your accounts on its own computer to book, buy and handle errands. It has been in invite-only early access since August 2026.
Can Instinct work for a team?
Since October 2026 it can join group chats and plan for a group, which is aimed at friends, roommates and families. It doesn't offer roles, shared company knowledge or agents per job. Brainstack does.
How much does Instinct cost?
There is no public price yet; early users use it free. Brainstack plans are public: $99, $499 and $999 per month, plus your own AI plan.
Is Brainstack a personal assistant?
No. It is built for a company's work: clients, invoices, inbox, sales and support. Each person can still ask the company brain from their own Claude or ChatGPT, and gets only what their role allows.
What does Brainstack cost?
Starter is $99 a month, Growth $499 and Scale $999, for the whole company. On top, you pay your company's AI plan (Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini) directly to the provider. We add no margin. Custom is priced with you.
Where does my data live?
On a server only your company uses, in the US or Europe, with encrypted backups every 6 hours. Your AI provider processes what an agent or a person sends it, under the terms of your plan.
Do you have SOC 2 or ISO 27001?
Not yet. What we do have: one server per customer, permissions per person, approvals before anything leaves, a record of what each agent did, and GDPR terms.
