A role, a timetable and your yes.
A Brainstack agent is an AI worker with one job in your company. It has a timetable, the tools it may use, the approvals it needs and its own dashboard. It works from your company brain and asks before anything important goes out.
Pick a role. It arrives ready.
Every role comes with its jobs, a timetable, the tools it needs and the approvals it should ask for. Change any of it before the first run.
What happens when it clocks in.
One weekday morning of the billing agent, from the first second to the last line on its dashboard.
- 1
It starts on its own.
At 8:00 on a weekday, in your time zone. Nobody has to open a chat or remember to ask.
- 2
It reads your company brain.
The living file for each client: the price you agreed, the discount still running, where invoices should go.
- 3
It works in your tools.
It opens Xero, finds three overdue invoices and drafts a reminder for each one.
- 4
It asks before what matters.
The large one crosses your limit, so it waits on your phone with the exact text that will go out.
- 5
It does the rest.
The two small reminders go out, because your rules let them.
- 6
It reports and clocks out.
Its dashboard updates, every step is on record and tomorrow's run is already booked.

A chatbot waits to be asked. An agent shows up.

Agents that pass the work to each other.
When a job belongs to another role, the agent hands it over instead of guessing. Your rules travel with it.
"Can you resend October's invoice? Our finance team can't find it."
09:14Sees a billing question and hands it to Billing with the thread attached.
09:16Finds invoice #1043 in Xero and sends it to their finance inbox, as the brain says.

Questions, answered.
What is an AI agent in Brainstack?
An AI worker with one role in your company. It has jobs, a timetable, the tools it may use, the approvals it needs and its own dashboard. It works from your company brain and asks before anything important leaves.
How is an agent different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT answers when you ask. An agent starts on its own timetable, knows your clients and prices from the company brain, works inside your tools and asks you only for the decisions your rules say are yours.
Can an agent do something I didn't approve?
Not the things you marked. You choose per agent what needs your yes: sending, publishing, spending, deleting, or amounts from a limit you set. Email replies from a shared inbox wait for approval by default.
Which AI model does the agent use?
The one your company already pays for: Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. You connect your own plan and pay the provider directly. Brainstack adds nothing on top of it.
How many agents can I have?
It depends on your plan. Plans are $99, $499 and $999 a month, and each includes the company brain. Bigger teams can talk to us about a custom plan.
Can I change what an agent does?
Yes. Its jobs, timetable, tools, approvals and autonomy are all settings. Change any of them before its first run or at any time after.
Where do agents run?
On a server only your company uses, with encrypted backups. Your AI provider processes what an agent sends it, under the terms of your plan. More on the security page.
